7. One-handed front throat choke (the throat is grabbed with one hand)
8. Same side shoulder grab from behind (the attacker stands behind you and grabs your right shoulder with his/her right hand and vice versa)

9. Double front throat choke (the attacker grabs the throat with both hands)
10. Opposite shoulder grab from behind (the attacker stands behind you and grabs your left shoulder with his/her right hand and vice versa)

11. Hair grab from the front (the attacker grasps the hair from the front – this technique should be simulated lightly)
12. Waist held from behind (the attacker grabs the waist from behind – the defender’s arms are free)
5th Kup Green Belt Blue Stripe
13. Double shoulder grab from behind (the attacker grabs both shoulders at arm’s length)
14. Double wrist grab from behind (the attacker holds the wrists from behind at waist height)
4th Kup Blue Belt
15. Upright neck lock from behind (the attacker has one arm around the throat from behind and both attacker and defender are standing upright)
16. Bent over neck lock (the defender is bent over and the attacker, standing upright, has the head in a lock at around hip level)
3rd Kup Blue Belt Red Stripe
17. Upright neck lock with one arm held from behind (like 15 but attacker uses his/her free hand to hold the defender’s arm behind the back – if the attacker grabs the neck with his/her right arm, the left arm of the defender will be held behind the back by the left arm of the attacker)
18. Bear hug from behind (the attacker wraps his/her arms around the defender from behind – above the defender’s elbows)
2nd Kup Red Belt
19. Full Nelson from behind (the attacker puts his/her arms through the defender’s arms from behind, up over the chest, clasping them behind the neck)
20. Side on wrist grab ( the defender and attacker are both side on, so the left wrist of the defender is grabbed by the right arm of the attacker and vice versa)
21. Hook punch * (the attacker executes a hook punch against the defender’s jaw)
1st Kup Red Belt Black Stripe
22. Downward knifehand * or sidefist strike * (the attacker executes an over-the-top downward technique with either a knifehand or sidefist)
23. Backfist strike * (the attacker executes a backfist strike at the defender’s temple)
24. Side on wrist grab by 2 attackers (two attackers hold the wrists of the defender, side on like 20 and at arm’s length)
* These techniques should be blocked, restrained and/or countered
